Q: What is the latest ending time for events?
A: All events must end at 11:00pm.
Q: May we bring our own food?
A: As long as your caterer is licensed and insured, you can bring them in.
Q: May we bring in our own liquor?
A: Per policy and insurance, all liquor must be purchased through The Sanctuary on Main. Please Note:If any attendee under 21 is found in possession of alcohol or any attendee brings in alcohol, The Sanctuary on Main has the right to terminate bar service &/or the event without refund.
Q: What is the deposit required to reserve the venue?
A: The initial deposit/payment is 50% of event proposal. All initial deposits are non-refundable. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event.
Q: what are some advantages to booking a wedding package with The sanctuary on main?
A: Our stress-free packages for our couples are just that. With our packages you can achieve your dream wedding while staying on budget & having quality service vendors.
Q: how many people can the sanctuary accommodate?
A: This is all dependent on the type of event, type of tables, whether a dance area is included, etc. We work with you to customize your layout & options. Wedding ceremonies maximum is around 130+/-. Absolute max with any other event is 120 without dance floor or food stations. We may in this case remove tables after a served dinner for dancing. Those with a larger guest count often will elect to have a more intimate ceremony at The Sanctuary on Main and then a large offsite venue reception.
Q: Where do our guests park?
A: The Sanctuary on Main is in the historic downtown district in Troy, IL. This is open parking. Guests are free to park around the chapel and in the public lot one block to the south. You may also include an optional valet service.
Q: Do you have a military or first responder discount?
A: We absolutely recognize our military and first responders for their service to their country and communities by offering a 10% discount on space rental. Not options or bar services.
Q: what limitations are on decorating?
A: We want you to have the ability to have the event that you have dreamt of. All decorations must be pre-approved by The Sanctuary on Main Staff. We do not allow any decorations to be attached, taped, pinned, hung, or fastened to any walls, windows, or ceiling supports. We do provide a number of areas that you can hang on the supplied picture hanger your personal items that are approved. All candles must be flameless, no helium filled ballons, smoke or fog machines, glitter, or confetti. Violation will result in a cleaning fee per the contract and we will not refund your security deposit.
Q: how much is the security deposit?
A: The security deposit varies with the event ranging from $250-$500. This needs to be paid by Venmo, cash or check 30 days prior to event.
