The Sanctuary on Main is a historic, traditional church setting, Circa 1870’s, just 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis and Scott Air Force Base in downtown Troy, IL. This non-denominational event venue is your wedding ceremony, event, meeting, & reception facility serving the STL and metro east area. If you are planning a wedding or an event for 20-120+/- guests we can accommodate your every wish. Not only can we provide you a spectacular facility for your event, we also give you quality service and flexibility. At The Sanctuary on Main we thrive on making any event your own, and much more. You bring in your preferred caterer. Our purpose is to customize our client’s specific needs with a personal and professional flair. As a Bride and Groom, you, along with your dedicated staff member, can help you choose the look that is right for you on your special day. When envisioning your wedding, you want it to be a day that takes everyone’s breath away. From the moment you said “Yes” until the time you say “I do”, you can start planning your special day with The Sanctuary that is committed to high standards, customer care and attention to detail. We will help make your dreams come true and a memory to last a lifetime. With our open space, The Sanctuary is suitable for all of your special event needs. The chapel space is approximately 1,245 sq. ft in addition to a quaint foyer area. In the lower level, there is an open sitting area along with 2 intimate dressing/getting ready rooms, and restroom facilities.

HISTORY
One of the oldest historic structures in the City of Troy, IL. Rumor has it that The Sanctuary is Circa 1872 originally as a Methodist Church.Behind our Est. 1872 sign, in front of the stained glass window over our entry, there is “Methodist” in the stained glass. In the early 80’s it was sold to Troy Christian Church. After many years of service, they held their last service in August of 2019 and in October 2019 purchased by its current owners.
